Design, Development and Prototypes
We work closely with market leading seal and valve suppliers and directly with steel mills to ensure that we deliver you the best product which is fit for your purpose and specified to exactly what is required for you and your end customers.
Once our engineers have designed the right product for you a prototype is built and extensively tested in our Centre of Excellence. Here static testing, dynamic testing, buckling testing, environmental testing and load testing are all carried out to your requirements. This allows us to show you exactly how your cylinder will perform over its lifetime.
Engineering Assistance
Our engineering and design team will work closely with your engineers to provide a hydraulic cylinder solution for your machine. Working with state of the art 3D design software (Pro-Engineer®) we can produce STEP files for use in your machine build and design process.
Every PB Machine Tech customer is assigned a design engineer who will custom design the cylinder which is ideal for your application.
In addition to this we also have Pro-Mechanica® during the design stage. Now you can see a dynamic model of the likely stress points and weak points of components and they can be eliminated before the drawing even leaves the office saving you time and money.
Every product designed undergoes extensive FMEA (failure mode effect analysis) before it reaches the prototype stage to minimise production supply issues in later stages.
Manufacturing
All of our cylinders are manufactured in our purpose built factory in Ireland. We have chosen to perform multiple processes in-house so that we have the best possible control over the end product allowing us to deliver a superior product every time to every customer. Customised
Not only will we customise the design of your cylinders, we also stamp, paint, pack, label and ship to your exact needs.
Stamping options include dot matrix or punch stamping with production batch numbers or dates for easy traceability or your article number for ease of identification or both.
Painting can be specified to match your machines’ brand identity and is available in a range of finishes from primer to two pac finished paint ready for mounting in all finishes from matt to high sheen.
